TCTC Supports Resolution 581-18 - Supporting Proposition 69 - Protecting California Transportation T

On May 9th, the Tuolumne County Transportation Council (TCTC) approved Resolution 581-18 - Supporting Proposition 69 - Protecting California Transportation Taxes on the Statewide June 2018 Ballot. Resolution 581-18

The State of California enacted Senate Bill 1 - The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1) that went into effect November 1st 2017, which will provide $8 million dollars annually for the Tuolumne region for local streets road maintenance, public transit, and local priority projects.

Proposition 69 is on the June 2018 ballot, if approved will prevent the State Legislature from diverting new transportation revenues for non- transportation improvement purposes, thereby proving greater certainty and accountability for these revenues.
